Top Construction Management Services

Forty years of Texas residential construction experience, available for ground-up builds, additions, and major repairs. Turnkey project management with daily on-site supervision.

Service overview

Construction management is the side of RGC that doesn't get talked about as much as leak detection, but it's the work Ralph Garrett has been doing since 1985.

If you're a homeowner staring down a major construction project — a ground-up build, a substantial addition, a structural repair, a kitchen-down-to-the-studs renovation — and you'd rather not be the one calling subs every morning, fielding the change-order surprises, and explaining to the framer what the electrician needed three weeks ago, this service is for you.

We coordinate the project. You stay in your day job.

What construction management means in practice

When you hire RGC for construction management, you're hiring forty-plus years of building experience to act on your behalf. That includes:

  • Pre-construction planning — reviewing plans, scope, and budget before anyone breaks ground
  • Subcontractor selection — sourcing, vetting, and contracting the trades you need (framing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, finish work)
  • Schedule coordination — sequencing trades so the project actually moves week to week instead of stalling between phases
  • On-site supervision — daily presence on the job, catching issues before they become change orders
  • Material sourcing and ordering — getting the right materials on site at the right time
  • Inspection coordination — managing city permits and inspection windows
  • Budget tracking and reporting — clear updates on what's been spent and what's coming

You stay informed without having to be the project manager.

Getting an estimate

Construction management pricing is scoped to your specific project. We'll walk through your plans, your timeline, and your budget on the first call, then provide a clear written engagement before any work begins. Trades you hire bill you directly at their rates; we manage them on your behalf.

For smaller projects — a single repair or a focused renovation — we'll quote a flat rate that fits the scope.

Who this service is for

  • Homeowners doing a ground-up build who'd rather not general-contract themselves
  • Property owners managing major repairs after a fire, flood, or storm
  • Out-of-town owners (including investment property holders) who need eyes on a project they can't be at every day
  • Anyone who's tried to manage trades on a previous project and decided once was enough

Who Ralph is

Ralph Garrett has been on Texas residential job sites since 1985. He has a degree in Building Construction Technology from Texas State Technical College, has built homes from foundation to finish, and has supervised crews on projects from small additions to full custom builds. The leak detection business grew out of that construction work — but the construction work has been the through-line for forty years.

How to start

A construction management engagement starts with a conversation. Send us your plans, your scope, or even just your idea, and we'll let you know whether the project is a good fit for us.

Common questions

Questions we get on the phone, answered straight.

If somethings not covered here, call. The phone consult is the same five minutes whether you book a job or not.

How is construction management priced?

It's scoped to your project. We walk through your plans, timeline, and budget on the first call, then put a clear written engagement in front of you before any work starts. The trades you hire bill you directly at their rates — we manage them on your behalf. For a single repair or a focused renovation, we'll quote a flat rate that fits the scope.

Can you work from plans I already have?

Yes. Send us your plans, your scope, or even just the idea you're chewing on, and we'll tell you straight whether the project is a good fit for us before anyone commits to anything.

Do you coordinate permits and inspections?

Yes. Managing city permits and scheduling inspection windows is part of the job — it's folded into the daily on-site supervision so the project keeps moving instead of stalling between phases.

Will Ralph actually be on the job site?

Daily. The whole point of hiring RGC is that forty-plus years of building experience is physically on site catching issues before they become change orders — not managing from a truck across town.
